A weighty matter

A fine dinner at the Royal Northern University Club for the Aberdeen Grammar FPs. On departing we noted this chair which is actually a set of scales . Did our predecessors weigh themselves at the end of their dinner ? As the RNUC only admitted women to its membership 2 years ago it was not intended for the ladies .
