N Z Secondry Schools Rowing

Today I went with my friend to The Nationals of Secondary  Schools rowing Regatta .Teams from all over NZ competing at Lake Ruataniwha.
Day started out really cold but improved. What an amazing day out. Masses of parents and grandparents there to cheer them on. Wonderful camaraderie, a real  friendly feeling all round.
My friends grandson and granddaughter competing for different schools. The grandson won a final in the eights what jubilation.
The extra shows supporters for St Andrews College which we were supporting. Every time one of there teams went past the piper played and they waved the St Andrews flag and the rest cheered and roared most enthusiastically
Away from home at 7am and home at 6pm, standing most of the day so am whacked tonight
