Extra Attention

Py and Mede had been together all their lives, and, I suspect, were brothers. They were certainly a very bonded pair of rats, and Mede was left somewhat bereft by Py's death.

So we gave Mede loads of extra love and attention. It was the start of a very special relationship between the Wonderspouse and Mede, both healing each other's hearts after their losses.

Fortunately Cantor and Hilbert were being excellent cage mates for Mede, so he wasn't short of rat company either. Didn't stop him getting spoiled by us though - an old man who'd lost his lifelong companion - he deserved a lot of love.
