Breaking bad

Up early today to clear the garage to get our stricken car inside.  It has a cracked sump, which means that all the oil has leaked out.  I got it into the garage with a big drip tray underneath.  Then I set about trying to clean the oil off the brick driveway.  Not with much success despite my best efforts.  We went and took delivery of the motorhome and I managed to reverse it into our tricky driveway first time.  N had another go at getting the oil off the pavers, but it needs special detergent.  Things keep breaking: bulbs, electric toothbrush thingy, shower trim, voice recorder, car to mention but a few.  It seems to be one of those times when the big things are going right and the small things are going wrong.  This evening we went and had dinner with Eileen and David.  There was much laughter which cheered us both up.
