Saturday Self-portrait

So I've been keeping a secret for several weeks now.  It's been so hard and rather stressful but we had to wait for paperwork to go through before it was 'show & tell' time.

This 10 acre piece of property and 5 year old home came to us in a most unique way actually belonging to a cousin of mine who I didn't know owned this little piece of heaven.  There were numerous offers on this place and we initially lost it as someone bid way beyond what we could afford and so sadly we let it go.  Long story short, two days later it came around again and papers were signed.  It was destined to be ours.  

Our dream property is way up high on a mountain 4400 feet above sea level tucked away in the woods.  No neighbours in sight and endless views of trees and big sky.  In fact it's so remote, that it doesn't even show up on Google maps.  Love it!  Complete with numerous outbuildings including a guest cabin we continually pinch ourselves still hardly believing this gift has been bestowed upon us.  It's a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts boasting many hiking, biking and quadding trails and in the winter cross country ski trails, snowshoeing and sledding (snowmobiling).  There are many fishing lakes close by as well as hunting opportunities for my love.  We are over the top excited and so incredibly grateful!

My heart is full...I have so much more to say but I've been up since 3:30am and it's been a long day.  There will be more to come as I share our journey and move with you.
