Desert plants

Eileen and Verna are leaving to return to the UK today, but there was still much to do on the agenda!

Eileen wanted to get Sherry her birthday present, which required driving out towards Hatta, not too far from where we lived as a family.  So familiar territory.

Gift purchased and numerous photos taken (the cactus were just waiting to be pictured), then back to town to change and head out for our final meal.  I'm leaving first thing in the morning.

Dinner venue was The Boardwalk at the Creek Golf Course.  A very pleasant evening indeed by the Creek where many dhow (traditional Arabian boats) dinner cruises passed us by. The pink ones caught my eye.

Back to pick up Eileen and Verna's suitcases to take home for one last round of prosecco to end Sherry's birthday celebrations.  Although I think they might carry on into next week :).

Looking forward to seeing Eileen again soon in the UK.  And very sad to be leaving tomorrow morning.  It's been a whirlwind trip, and so pleased I was here to celebrate with everyone.
