Les delices de la France

Determined to savour the delights of France today at the French market in the streets of Romsey.
Truth was that I went primarily in search of onions, shallots and garlic. From Brittany, and sure enough I came away with an armful. I spent time, along with throngs of locals browsing the other stalls with a mixture of antiques, collectibles, bric-a-brac up for grabs.  Even carpets spread out on the pavement outside one of the town’s banks.
Shame we had to contend with road works in the principal street where the market was held.
Never mind , restocked with onions by Pascal and his son Tristan from Roscoff, more familiarly known as Johnnie, the Onion Man!
