What a beautiful day! 
Pickering's Pasture on the river Mersey was our choice today - but proved to be challenging in terms of bird watching and photography. 
The only birds on the pond were 4 mallards and two redshank that were too far away for a decent shot. 
We spent over an hour waiting for something more interesting to come closer, without success, but eventually we were rescued by this little wren who looked to be lining it's nest with moss. 

After an afternoon of chores, we went to my parents' house for Sunday dinner and a nice catch up. Dad is much better now and almost back to normal. 

All in all it's been a lovely weekend - welcome on board Spring!
