Hundred foot and home

Over the hundred foot washes with Earith in the distance - a quick screen grab from a new camera.  Grainy close up but the light was also somewhat dismal with a tough but very satisfying flight home!  First weekend outing for Cambridge Aerotow with a satifying turnout and great to see NM finally getting to feel his aerotow wings.

Also my first test with a new 360 degree camera, which works a lot better in video than stills but it was somewhat appropriate for today's blip.  No video yet, maybe post up in a follow up blip once edited and worked out how to do this.

A good day for remembering how to do this and sorting out kit, this included a fairly dramatic weak link break, (another) camera falling off (close to the ground) and my harness zip splitting open.  My feet were a little cold by the end and it took a good twenty minutes to reacquire equilibrium :-)

Out of this though myself and AH managed a goal flight back to my home in Melbourn.  Flying together was stunning with some nice back-to-back thermalling in very weak lift.  Doarama here http://doarama.com/view/1975746
