Growing

Finally screwed my courage to the sticking post and cleaned the kitchen window - the contortions required are quite extreme, even for someone who does yoga. Gosh, it looks better though - and the day obliged by being sunny and bright. I heard some gulls making a bit of a racket in the distance and there's a pair of magpies trying ineptly to build a nest in a tree very close by our windows - so it'll be a noisy summer!

Potted up a few little seedlings - these are 'Peppapeach' chillis, from seed bred by a chilli enthusiast in Wales.

(For regular readers, the Jerusalem artichokes seem to be fermenting nicely, producing a fine froth of bubbles. We release the lid a couple of times a day to prevent undue gaseous build-up, but there's very little smell at all).
