Stand Up NY
Tonight was the night of comedy! We went out to a live comedy show for our first evening entertainment in the Big Apple. It was hilarious! I never knew if I would like live comedy as sometimes when you watch it on TV you don't always find it funny. But I can but this thought to bed, I loved it. Up and coming borderline 'famous' comedians performing for a small crowd. This created a great atmosphere and we formed quite the crowd!
I'll run through it shall I. (Note, we were on the front row) So as is a sort of comedians ritual they make fun of the audience (front row in particular!) So first to get ripped was a couple from Denmark for a polka-dot sweater. The host had a brilliant talent for guessing where people were from. Although she did think I was from Oregon. This was after I drew her attention with my uber awesome multi-coloured hat. The line that she uttered was "What the hell is that!?". I had a feeling the hat would be popular, another comedian's opening line of his bit was directed at me saying "Hello every bass player ever" it was very funny and I really enjoyed it.
Other members of our crowd involved 2 mormons from Utah with 6 kids! I'm going to spare you a shocking detail. Also a model couple from L.A. But the funnies was the Indian man sat behind me who took all his interactions very well and was quite funny himself.
It was a great evening and a really cool way to meet people especially at a small venue like that, a lot of fun and would recommend it to anybody.
