A Tiny Tale.....

Today’s story comes from The Boss's favourite camera store in Christchurch when he dropped in this morning to thank the owner for a great bit of service recently with his new Olympus E5 Mk2.
Here's the story...
So this bloke...(Unnamed)  was driving through  Tekapo  and the Mackenzie country en route to Wanaka and stopped on the side of the road to make a phone call. In the back of the car was his wife’s most treasured thing, her dog, which was being relocated complete with kennel and while he was on the phone and the sky was darkening for night the dog decided it had had enough of car for one day and jumped out the window and took off. Before continuing his journey The Bloke checked the back and found nothing as it was doggone and nowhere in sight so he phoned his wife to report this and received the DCBWTD message (Don’t come back without the dog) and the email address of a good divorce lawyer. He yelled and searched to no avail so time being of the essence he off loaded the kennel to the  side of the road and continued to Wanaka and divorce.
Shortly after arrival in Wanaka he received a call from a tourist to report finding a kennel complete with dog on the side of the road
(with ph number attached) and after explanations the tourist became a dog sitter while "The Bloke" returned from Wanaka, a 100 min drive,  to retrieve his marriage.
This is an extremely busy bit of highway where speed limits are largely ignored so it was a miracle that the dog didn’t get hit by a car. I have nothing further to report on "The Blokes"  marital status at this time but “troubled” comes to mind.
