Primroses.

Our Celtic ancestors considered the primrose to be sacred as it held the keys to heaven. If you touch a fairy rock with the right number of flowers in a posy, you will be shown the way to fairyland. The wrong number would lead to certain doom. ( No correct number was given ! ) Leave a primrose on the doorstep on May Day eve to prevent witches entering the home. Bunches of primroses would be left in cow sheds to prevent the fairies from stealing milk. If you keep chickens, which some blippers do, and you see a single flower, you must dance round it three times to avert ill omens. So you have been warned !
