I bought a book on Saturday.

I do plan on going back to the Western Isles. I'd like to visit Barra, and - probably as a separate trip - the Uists (North and South Uist, plus Benbecula).

Tonight I had a quick look for flights to and from Benbecula for a 2 night weekend. £230 return! Eeek...

Add the cost of renting a car plus a couple of nights in a bed and breakfast and it's getting into the same price bracket as a Caribbean cruise.

There's always the ferry.
