Actions speak louder than words

Last night a friend made a random act of kindness that left me lost for words. The gesture really lifted my spirits. I’m so lucky to have such great friends.

Today another good friend called me to tell me they were feeling rather poorly. So this afternoon I scooped up my laptop, picked up a couple of Chelsea buns from the village bakery and headed over to their house to keep them company and cook the supper.

So when the chips get you down. Find the words to tell a friend things are tough. And if in doubt... turn up with cake!
