My Guys

My main volunteering role for the Inland Waterways Association (IWA) is to organise volunteer work parties,  usually in my home town of Rugeley. We started these 7 years ago because the canal towpath was a right mess, graffiti, broken fences and litter everywhere. I was ashamed to say I lived in Rugeley.
7 years on and I am the proudest person in the world of Rugeley and our volunteers. They turn out in all weather, clean up endless bags of litter, drag supermarket trolleys out of the canal, plant bulbs, clean off any graffiti and are just good people.
Always a positive experience to be with them.
