Italy?

Stayed in this outrageous hotel complex near the airport in Johannesburg. The Emperor's Palace is a huge casino and hotel/restaurant/shop/convention center that is part Italy, part ancient Egypt, and large part Las Vegas. Our hotel was the D'Oreal Grande. This was one of the choices walking round the many halls off the crowded casino.....you get the idea.....:-)
I have learned that it's too dangerous for anyone to stay, or even go to the downtown area at night. We are here just the one night before taking off for Victoria Falls. Will be back for one night at the end. Had a nap, finally, and a good dinner, meeting our tour group of 20 and our knowledgable and enthusiastic South African tour leader....
