Chasing The Blue
In the middle of the morning I looked up from my computer work to see - a patch of blue sky! Just a thin, pale glimmer of blue but that was enough to send me scrabbling for coat and camera to head off through the village and to the park. Ignoring that the blue had already been subsumed by the soggy tapioca grey as I shut the front door, I stuck to my plan.
By the time I reached the park (just 10 minutes' walk) it was blowing a gale, tearing at the last leaves. For anyone interested in plenty of shades of grey, this sky would do it for them.
Oh well, I was getting some exercise - so I did a circuit of the park, grabbing a few images on the way.
However, the one I chose today is of the village, taken from just around the corner from my home. Thankfully, this ancient sandstone keeps still even in a gale, and while not blue, it does provide year-round colour and texture.
