Boletus luridiformis

Or Hexen-Röhrlinge. This doesn't have another English name but the German is something like Witch's Boletus. It gets its name from the fact that when you cut it bleeds blue and that's obviously something to do with magic. These are actually very tasty once you've cooked them (it's not advisable to eat them raw).

Friday. woo and somewhat half-heartedly hoo. A miserable cold day here where comfort was sought in tea and spekulatius. That worked.

I'm going to start cooking soon - a spicy curry seems to be the way to go here. I've recently started cooking curries with a home-made paste and I tell you what, it's bloody marvellous.
