The River Mersey

I went out for something of an aimless walk today - no plan at all as to where I was going to go.  I ended up walking down a street where I rented a house for a few months when I first moved to this area - I have to say, having seem it again after 30 years, I'm glad it didn't end up being permanent.  South of the river is much nicer ;-)

The blip is quite interesting in that I think I have found the only vantage point from which the upper reaches of the River Mersey look quite pleasant.  It is not really that pleasant - there is a sewerage works off to the right behind those trees that you can see in the distance.
