"Struttin' With Some Barbecue"
It rained nearly all day. As soon as it stopped I went down the field with the camera. There was nice storm light and I found darling Pheasy Boy, two hen pheasants and a couple of rabbits by the bonfire heap. The rabbits and hens soon scarpered but PB strutted slowly through the wet grass after them.
The song of my title was written by Louis Armstrong's wife, the pianist Lil Hardin. It was an instrumental. Don Raye wrote lyrics for it in the 50s but he didn't get the sense of it. In 1927 barbecue was slang for a good looking lady. Pheasy Boy was strutting with some barbecues. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSbRs2TjVKs MrQ plays this often and I got a kick out of telling him what the title means.
