Had I remembered this this morning it would doubtless have been refreshingly cool after being wind-chilled by the ride in. I'd worried briefly that it might have fallen out whilst my bike was lying at the pathside whilst I swept off some oaf-glass but it was more likely to have been forgotten due to the bike having spent a rare night in the shed, requiring mild extra faff in the morning to retrieve it.
