Long day
Up early and headed for the motorway (took half an hour to get onto the motorway in the first place). AJ had a hospital appointment and we had agreed to take her, so first trip from Berkshire to Ferndown. Not helped by the rain .......
AJ ready and a quick turn around, back in the car and on our way to Poole Hospital. Plaster cast off then X-ray, before seeing the consultant. He is pleased with the progress, to start physio on her shoulder and continue with monthly hand clinic appointments. Back to see him again in 2 months. With no plaster cast (and a “complete” arm albeit shorter), AJ struggling to relax her arm but this will come in time, I’m sure. :)
On the way back, stopped off at our regular pub for dinner. This lovely plaque on the table encouraged us to tip favourably. Food lovely, even had a mini pudding.
Quick shop for basic/general items before back to AJ to do paperwork.
Whilst my sister supported AJ with her birthday/anniversary card organising (for the rest of the year), I went through paperwork and filed (or “filed” in the recycling).
Last job before leaving, cutting fingernails - a quick manicure but shorter and more manageable fingers/nails.
Back home by 8pm (having left at 7:15am)!
