First Winter Blast

First snow shower of the winter. One month earlier than last year. Thirty seconds before this I was laying stuff out in the sun to dry off.
The weather folk said it was going to snow - superior sods - I hate it since they gave them satellites to see things with. You used to have to look at the sky, hold your finger up to the wind, rely on your senses and some old rhymes, and do some thinking of your own. Now they just tell us - and usually get it right. Nothing is left to your imagination - we're doomed!!
