Glorious day
but still cold.Housework done ,washing out so its coffee time.
I'm having to blip pics from a TV programme I watched 2 nights ago.
It was about Cragside,Northumberland the home of Lord Armstrong.
I visited it years ago but it was nice to have a guided tour sitting in my chair.
I recommend a visit to anyone coming to the area.
The Inglenook fireplace is fabulous.
Cragside was the first house in the World to be powered by hydroelectricity.
The Guide said that the lamps were switched on by a 10 year old page boy (shown here on his Wedding Day in later years)
Apparently Lord Armstrong chose the boy so he would remember the event for years to come (he died in 1956)
History lesson over.Enjoy your day ;);)
