Parenthood so far:
1) the baby is your alarm clock now. No matter how late he went to bed, he will always wake up around 6 or 7. If you're lucky, 7:30.
2) the bathroom is now officially the sanctuary. No one can bother you there.
3) shower? Good luck. Gotta schedule it with the spouse or bring the baby in when you want to shower.
4) eat? Good luck with that too! Gotta feed the baby at meal times, and you can only snack/eat your meals when he's not crying and napping.
5) EMBRACE YOUR PIMPLY FACE AND BALD SPOTS.
6) depend on your village. Your parents, his family, your friends, his friends, etc. Rested parents bring more to the table.
7) Enjoy. Every. Moment. Of. This. You only get to see this stage of his life once.
8) so it is okay if you make mistakes. Babies are tougher than they look.
9) don't feel guilty when you hand him to others so you guys can have a date night or simply a day to rest.
10) your spouse is your teammate, not helper.
11) all the bodily fluid you once feared are just gonna come out all at once everyday. And that fear disappears. Who knew that picking out his boogers and wiping all the poop off his butt gives you satisfaction?!
12) baby gibberish is adorable. even when he only says, screams, or whispers "DADA" whole. Day. I know. I get it. You miss dada and mama is boring sometimes.
13) you start missing the newborn size him. But definitely not the sleepless nights.
14) can't wait til he's old enough to cuddle with though
