Camphill

I was in Aberdeen for the morning and visited the inspirational Camphill School . After a short tour of the classrooms I met with a number of the European nationals who are co-workers, volunteers and staff.

Camphill was founded by Austrian refugees in 1940. The world wide Camphill movement flows from that and in Aberdeen there are 25 nationalities who provide the remarkable and caring environment.

There is genuine concern and some fear about the future and it was good to have the chance to provide as much re-assurance as I could and to show the appreciation of the Scottish Gvoernment - amongst so many others - for what takes place there and throughout the Camphill communities.
