The Lake of Menteith

I travelled north-west from Glasgow to Aberfoyle this morning to collect Togbe, the Border Terrier, who is coming to Elie with me while his mum is in Japan.

It was a beautiful morning ..... frosty first thing but that quickly thawed and the conditions couldn't have been better.

Before reaching Aberfoyle I usually take a left turn down to the Lake of Menteith to savour the view across the lake. I was offered a boat trip out to Inchmahome, the largest of the three islands in the centre of the lake,but sadly I didn't have time today but I assured the boatmen that I would be back.
