Clever clogs

This wee man looked at me this morning and said "Dates mean two things, Dada".  He went on "Dates mean days and food.  I think they might be homonyms"
Astounded by the wee man, and not fully understanding what he was talking about (Nikki must have taught him more clever stuff), I said "Yes, I think they might be"
He quickly replied "Are they spelled the same?"
"Yes son"
"Well, they must be then Dada"
