On the Hobbit trail
trying to reach the Heceta Lighthouse from the backside. The weather was lovely today, lots of sun on thick moss patches between the trees. Maggie loved this trail, was way ahead of me, who had to look mostly down to not stumble over one of the many roots. Unfortunately the knees prevented me from reaching my goal, and I think I have been a little overly optimistic to begin with as the whole hike would have been 3 miles. It was very very steep. So I returned about half way and was already happy with what I had achieved.
The town is bustling - many tourists. Easter ahead and spring break makes for a lot of people and business .
Tomorrow Hubby will drive up from Reno. I am a happy girl...
In the extra you can see the Heceta Lighthouse from the 'better' side...
This morning I saw a big eagle flying over me. I was driving, so no picture, but the sight made me happy.
I will backblip a couple of days. Have a look , if you like.
