Nuthatch Activity

My daughter and I spent the day together, working on wedding plans.  She's on spring break (she's a teacher) so this is the perfect week to take care of business.  All of the major decisions have been made so I'm breathing a sigh of relief.... at least for now.  

Of course I managed to get out into the yard for a bird blip.  It was much easier today with the increased spring time activity, especially with the White-breasted Nuthatches.  They were everywhere.  One busy bird continued to build a nest in a hole in a cherry tree.  The other day he carried in a piece of a squirrel tail.  Today he was tearing bark off a neighbor's tree to add to the nest.  This blip was taken in the back yard, where they were hanging around the feeders.  I expect to see multiple nuthatch babies in the future.
