Good Friday
Looking NNW, out into Tasman Bay with Haulashore Island, The Cut and the Boulder Bank in the background.
The Boulder Bank is a natural formation which gives Nelson Harbour protection. The Cut was made in the early 20th Century so bigger ships could come into the harbour which made Haulashore Island. The island was named Haulashore as the inner side was where the original settlers hauled their boats up.
