Angle in bronze

At the roundabout at the Scharnerweg he opened the sculpture 'The new angel of Maastricht'. The image symbolizes the connection of the neighborhoods, which were first separated by the A2 that ran through the city. The statue was made by artist Wil van der Laan. The plinth and the statue together are about seven meters high. The sculpture is cast from bronze.
King Willem Alexander officially opened the "Groene Loper" (Green Carpet) on Thursday, March 29 and unveiled the image.
I waited a day so all the stuff of the opening was cleaned up.
