Thank you so much everyone for your wonderful supportive and lovely comments yesterday, and always. You know how much I love Blipfoto and it is this special community that has built such a phenomenon.

Yes, yesterday was really special. The concert, including a stunning cello concerto and the amazing Mahler’s first Symphony, was the perfect climax of the day. If you have t seen and heard Mirga Grazynyte Tila then please make a note. She’s balletic, superbly communicative, and draws the very best from the CBSO. She’s having her first baby in August (the bump is showing) and I couldn’t help wondering what the undoubted musical future star is making of it all.....

Today has also been great. Before my friend headed back to London, we went back to Middleton Hall Lakes. No rain ! A bit muddy but fabulous. My nuthatch was my favourite, but as the rangers hadn’t filled all the feeders, the birds were on great form entertaining the visitors (extra)
