"Byegone Brighton"

A portfolio of 12 prints produced by Brighton Library (another good place to visit if in Brighton).  The main picture is the viaduct across the Preston Road from the London illustrated News June 13, 1846.

The extra is a view of the Royal Chain Pier, opened in 1823 but destroyed by a storm in 1896.

More recent photo.

Other prints include the Devils Dyke, Marine Parade, and a Sussex/Kent Cricket Match in 1849.
