Richie's Tattoo.

There was a big blizzard last night and today and all of my classes were canceled. What was not canceled was my "Safe Zone Training Certification." Basically, Safe Zone is a space in which Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender people can safely talk about their sexuality or whatever else. As a future teacher, this sort of training should prove to be especially helpful. The speaker was an enigmatic man whose poignant stories elicited powerful reactions from the audience time and time again and the lessons of understanding and tolerance that he displayed will definitely stay with me for a very long time.

Richie's PRIDE tattoo certainly fit in with the theme of this blip, and he kindly let me photograph it after the training session was over.
