It’s bean a good life

Today’s blip is in memoriam to Drue Heinz, the widow of H.J. Heinz (yes, that one), who died today at her home in Lasswade, Edinburgh, aged 103.

Drue (who was an actress called Doreen English) was H.J. Heinz’s third wife from 1953 until his death in 1987. She was a philanthropist, supporting many causes, as well as being a patron of the arts, including financing the arts venue, Heinz Hall Plaza in Pittsburgh.

I am off to have some tomato soup followed by some beans on toast to commemorate this amazing lady... there has to be a film here.
