Silly Old Bear!

Today the ladies of the family went to The Gore Hotel in Kensington for a delightful Winnie the Pooh themed afternoon tea, created to celebrate the exhibition of the well loved bear at the V&A.
We had hoped that after taking the tube to Lancaster Gate, we'd be able to stroll through Hyde Park to reach our destination but sadly the weather was against us.  We woke to sunshine but quickly the skies greyed over and by the time we'd reached central London, the rain was pouring down, so taxi it was.   It still hadn't stopped when we'd finished but at least then our taxi could drive through Hyde Park to get back to the station.
Our tea was just lovely: the hotel is Victorian and full of quintessential English charm and our food delicious, especially washed down with a glass or two of prosecco!  Afternoon tea is definitely becoming our favourite eating out occasion.
