Quaker bonnet
Today's the day .................................. to be in miniature
This is an artefact that has been offered to us recently to join our collection of Quaker bonnets. It has been made in exactly the same way as all the others - the difference with this one, as you can see, is that it is tiny.
They were a sort of sample of the full-sized bonnets that were made for the Society of Friends (Quakers) by a Liverpool firm at the turn of the last century. They were available in a choice of three colours - black, lavender and silver grey.
Small - but perfectly formed ................................
