“Lazy holiday week” fun today. It’s been quite nice having almost nothing planned and just being. Lots of movies, lots of lazy starts. We just snuggled in bed for an hour after we had woken up today, just because we could.
She’d decided she wanted to get her skates out. She got them a couple of years ago and we’ve actually ended up without much opportunity to use them. She had a little bit of extreme caution for a while, looking rather Bambi-esque but before long she was skating round the empty car park happily. She’s far from fast yet but she’s stable enough that this summer I could take her to the roller disco & we could have a good time. So that’s definitely one we intend to make happen this year!
The rest of the day was movies and music. I taught her how to play squares and she was hilariously scowly when I didn’t let her win. I’ve done a couple of sewing things today, including some crazy but fab leggings for her for Easter. Can’t wait to show her them!
It took ages to settle her tonight, well over two hours. She’s definitely hitting a change in when she’s ready to go bed, it’s noticeably later, but this was frustrating! And of course she decided after 90 minutes that she no longer wanted to camp on her floor so mama had to come make up the bed again. She was asleep when I stuck my head in later on so we got there in the end!
