After a visit to a local farm to pick daffodils I thought I had only picked 3 varieties. Impressively wrong!
The owner who is 88 was born in the farmhouse and has lived there all of her life. Her late husband planted a field and an orchard with daffodils and narcissi. They used to sell at the farm gate but she is unable to do so anymore. I have been lucky enough to be able to go and pick my own for a long time now and seem to find different varieties each year. it is one of my indicators of Spring.
