Reunited

As today’s Scotsman leads on bed blocking I can report that after nearly 5 months my aunt got home and was reunited with her cat.

I’d been told on Thursday that instead of getting back for lunch it would be before tea time.

My leisurely morning was disrupted at 9.05 when rung to be told she had already left. Fortunately I had last night increased the heating and got most things ready. But it still meant that by the time I got to her house she was in and settled and the ambulance crew had left.

Spent several hours just helping her reacclimatise to the house (she is blind) and will call back later to see how she is doing and check the new carers know where things are. But the joy of having the cat on her lap has been something she has been looking forward to desperately.
