Bothwell
A sleepy town in the central Highlands that boasts the oldest golf course in the Southern Hemisphere and where the first herd of black cattle from Scotland were reared having been brought over in 1824. It's also near today's orienteering event. I have opted for short courses to preserve my hips over 6 days of orienteering. Pleased to come third out if the 10 ladies my age who have also opted for the short course. Extra shows the view from the event arena and the tricky deep extraction gully where a few checkpoints were hidden. Tricky in that it was very deep and getting out was fun.
