A relaxing day
This morning all of us went out for breakfast which was a nice treat to start the day. The breakfast was excellent as usual except when we came out some idiot had parked in a non parking area and managed to block in 3 cars, so we had to wait for about 20 minutes until the restaurateur could find out who it was. (And as much as I hate to say it, it was a woman driver!) Gavin and I both gave her a piece of our mind as she was just being incredibly selfish and did not even seem apologetic.
After that the boys posed for another family photo for me by the river. As I said yesterday, it is not often that all three of them are together and Adam actually leaves again to go back to Cambridge tonight so won't be with us for our Easter Sunday lunch. So I take the opportunity for a family photo when I can!
When we got home Luke was okay but then started feeling very tired so he went off to sleep. He has a ticket booked to fly back to Berlin on Monday night, but late on Thursday evening his employer contacted him and said he cannot come back to work without a medical certificate from the surgeon declaring him fit to return to work (an insurance requirement for the company). He does not have this and has been unable to get one emailed to him due to the Easter weekend, the hospital said he has to wait until Tuesday to get this when the doctor will be back again. And quite honestly I don't know if the surgeon will even issue it at the moment. So we have decided he must remain behind at home this week. I don't see how he will cope in Berlin on his own, one cannot cook or shop or do much when you are on crutches and don't have free hands. He can only walk very slowly on the crutches and has to be on them for about 6 weeks, all due to the ruptured meniscus. If it was just the ACL injury it would only be about 2 weeks on crutches.
I have also added an extra of Adam competing last weekend in the British University Mens Powerlifting Championships (taken by the pro phopgrapher who attended the event).
