For more than 3000 years people have been making clay jars to hold tears of mourning. The exhibition “Where is God in the 21st Century?” at the Oxo Tower in London, has amongst its exhibits, 1000 jars, each made from the lump of clay the size of a human heart, fired with paper with a hand-written message, echoing the age-old tradition. And it's a reminder of some ancient words describing God's care for us ... “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle”. Psalm 56:8.
