Gardening glove wash test (a non-scientific study)
I didn't finish - still digging!
When I started the border re-design on that sunny Saturday one week ago it seemed like such a good idea - for 24 hours.. TeeJay did warn me!
I have dug over every crumb of soil, rescued plants choked with grass and split everything that needed splitting (and some that didn't). I have moved plants that were in the wrong place, discovered hundreds of little bulbils and generally tried to improve this big border.
Trouble is - it's all too tidy now! I liked the messy cottage garden I had before.
Still, I am sure by the time everything has grown (if it recovers!) it'll look fantastic. One thing's for certain - it won't be done again in a very long time!
After a week of heavy physical exercise I actually feel remarkably good so am planning on starting my exercise bike again. However, like everything I do nowadays I have got slightly (slightly? ha!) obsesssive over it - to the exclusion of normal communications (ok sis, I'm emailing you tonight!).
Thank God it'll be finished tomorrow!!
At least they can say I was a completer-finisher!!
Back to the glove trial - the newest ones are bottom left...
My recommendations? DON'T DO IT! Leave them muddy
- and before you ask - I don't know why I have 7 pairs of gardening gloves (I was wearing another pair while the wash test was on). Just one of those "oh yes I need some of those" buys.
