Mt Gabriel to Golden Bay

Today was a beautiful crisp cool sunny day in the wonky side of Schull. This is Mount Gabriel looking very Autumnal in the afternoon.
I had BIG news today, the 6 months leave of absence that I'd applied for was granted, so with that confirmed we booked flights to New Zealand. Wow, far out and for real!!! 3 months from Jan to April. Me, Mike and Yola are going a very big exciting adventure together.
I've worked since I was 19yrs old. I've had lots of lovely holidays, but I've never had more than a few weeks. This will be traveling.......I'm going get the gap year (well 6 months) I never had!!
So much to think about, starting with a wish list for each of us. So far the plan is get there, go to the Luminate festival, meet the friends friends, buy a car (maybe a camper) and explore by foot, bike, boat and kyack and BLIP all the way.
