Climbing Practice

Day one of the holiday has been a very active one for all parties, including Bailey who thoroughly enjoyed his first free run on the beach for this year. It felt far less like he might run away than ever before and we all revelled in his joy!
It's been pretty much that way all day really - although I perhaps failed to accept the joy on the moment as I cycled up the "Alp de Fishguard" this morning! It genuinely feels like you are going backwards. Him Outdoors' gadget reckons we climbed 2500 feet. It was certainly 35 windy miles offset by the sea in view for much of the way.
Back to the holiday house where the other two had recovered and managed to get the kettle on just in time.
We wandered in St Davids and procured lunch time snacks which were eaten in the view of the cathedral before we jumped in the van to make the first beach visit. Poet Girl didn't let the lack of climbing shoes prevent her and Him Outdoors wasn't to be outdone!
This evening we have had Easter Sunday roast and relaxed very well with only the first full day of our break complete!
