The Longest Pier

Today looked like it was going to be more rain free than tomorrow so we had a day trip to Southend-on Sea. The forecast was right, basically no rain but equally next to no sunshine. At least the pier railway was running taking us the 1.34 miles along the longest pleasure pier in the world.

The drive back took in a diversion from Annie's saved library of interesting place names. We stopped at Good Easter near Chelmsford, entirely appropriate for the day of course.
