Texan Easter Egg Hunt
The day started with an amazing church service in a church packed with worshippers, an enormous choir, inspiring message, fabulous music and as an extra the organist treated us to a rendition of Widor’s Toccata after the benediction.
In the afternoon we headed to the home of friends of G & M where we met up with their family and friends most of whom we had met on previous visits.
Abigail had a wonderful time playing with 4 other young children and after a sumptuous Texan buffet meal it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt with many colourful “eggs” hidden in the garden.
A little later adults and children indulged in Confetti Egg Smashing fun with these “ Cascarones “ being smashed on heads ( non painful) leaving hair covered in confetti (extra) - this was a new experience for Mrs AMK and I.
Before we left our host and his brother played guitar and sang Texan songs to us all. Altogether a wonderful day experiencing a very different Easter Sunday from any we have had back home.
